- 2 lbs. scallops
- 1 stick butter (or less)
- 2 tbs. chopped fresh parsley
- 1 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Preheat oven to 350
- Wash scallops in cold water and drain thoroughly on a paper towel
- Place scallops in a single layer in a large shallow baking dish
- Dot with butter & sprinkle with parsley, basil, salt and pepper
- Bake for 5 minutes (at 350)
- Stir the scallops to coat well with the butter mixture
- Bake for 20 minutes longer or until tender
