Steak & Shrimp Kababs Recipe

Steak & Shrimp Kababs Recipe

  • 1/2 c. Ketchup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4. c finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbs. brown sugar
  • 3 tbs. lemon juice
  • 2 tbs. oil
  • 2 tbs. prepared mustard
  • 2 tps. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tps. chili powder
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 lb. beef tips (cut in 1-1 inch pieces)
  • 1/2 lb. shelled shrimp
  • 2 zucchini cut diagonally in 1" pieces 
  • 2 ears corn cut in 1" pieces
  • 2 small onions cut in wedges 
  • 1 green or red pepper cut in squares 

 

  1. In a small sauce pan, combine ketchup, water, chopped onion and brown sugar
  2. Stir in lemon juice, oil, mustard, Worcestershire and chili powder
  3. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes stirring once or twice
  4. on 6 short skewers, thread steak pieces alternately with the shrimp, zucchini, corn, onion wedges and pepper squares
  5. Grill kababs over coal until meat is tender (15-17 minutes) 
  6. Brush with sauce and garnish each end with tomatos
